FAQ:
Do I have to wear a face covering?
Yes, please. All zoo guests should wear a face covering unless medically unable, especially near more crowded areas like popular animal habitats, food and retail kiosks, and restrooms. This helps protect other guests, our staff, volunteers, and animals in our care.
Are there group size restrictions?
Every individual in your party must have a ticket to attend. There is a maximum of 10 people per party. Guests must practice social distancing at all times, with six feet between your party and others.
Will you be handing out maps that show the zoo’s revised pathways and traffic patterns?
No. The zoo will be instituting many new paperless processes and paper maps will not be distributed during this time. One way foot traffic patterns have been established to maintain social distancing guidelines. Some areas of the zoo will be closed. Exhibit buildings may be closed due to City/State restrictions. Please adhere to all Department of Public Health and CDC guidelines throughout the evening.
Will hand sanitizer stations be available?
Yes. Hand sanitizer stations will be available at the East and West Gates. Guest may also wash their hands at the restrooms at Regenstein Macaque Forest and the East Gate.
Is it safe to visit the zoo?
As always, we are working hard to make Lincoln Park Zoo as safe as possible—for our visitors, our staff, and our animals. In addition to the safety protocols mentioned above, we are routinely cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces and public areas. Please keep the zoo safe for everyone by adhering to all guidelines, and washing your hands often.
As a reminder, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting Lincoln Park Zoo you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
